How to Create your own Production Template

Now that you know how to customize a production template, it's time to learn how to create one! Anyone with our Premium level subscription can create their very own production template. You can include your logo, a player graphic, a default poster, a stamp and overlay text! You can also customize the size and positioning of all these elements and pick and choose which ones you want to include. Watch the tutorial to find out how. Enjoy!

How to Create your own Production Template.
Production templates allow you to customize the first frame of your video message.
Here is an example of what your production template could look like.
You can add your logo, customize the default poster image, graphic, stamp, and text.
On the navigation panel, click on Production Templates.
This is where you will see a list of templates our team has created as well as the templates you will be creating.
To create your very own template, click on Create New Template at the top of the page.
Select an existing template format from the System Templates drop-down.
For this tutorial, let's select nHD Landscape - 640px x 360px - Graphic + Stamp + Text. Then click on Copy and Start New Template.
Give this template a title.
Select the Resolution, either HD or VGA.
Check off the Is Portrait? box if you want this template to be in a portrait format.
All the checkbox options displayed on the page are optional. You can create several variations of the different elements.
For example, you could have a template for Graphic and Overlay text only, or just have your Logo.
If you would like to include your logo, check off the Has Logo box.
On your production template, the logo will display in the top left corner.
To add your logo, click Browse to find it and then click Upload to add it.
Adjust the width and height of your logo. The recommended size for the logo graphic is 60 by 60 px.
Anchor Top is the distance from the top of the frame from where you want your logo to display.
Anchor Left is the distance from the left of the frame from where you want your logo to display.
Enter a number from 1 to 100 to adjust the opacity of your logo. With 1 being transparent and 100 being opaque.
Click on the Place Logo On drop-down to select where you want the logo to display.
Your options include on the Poster Only, Video Only, or Poster & Video.
You have the option to customize your own player graphic.
Check off the Has Graphic box to begin.
On your production template, the Player Graphic will display in the bottom left corner.
To add your graphic, click Browse to find it and then click Upload to add it.
Adjust the width and height of your graphic. The recommended size for the player graphic is 70 by 70 px.
Anchor Top is the distance from the top of the frame from where you want your player graphic to display.
Anchor Left is the distance from the left of the frame from where you want your player graphic to display.
Enter a number from 1 to 100 to adjust the opacity of your player graphic.
If you want to have a piece of text on the poster, check off the Has Overlay Text box.
On your production template, the Overlay Text will display at the bottom of the frame.
From here you can select the Font Family, Style, Size, and Color.
The text width and height dictates how stretched out the text will appear. You can leave these settings as is.
Text Anchor Top is the distance from the top of the frame from where you want your text to display.
Text Anchor Left is the distance from the left of the frame from where you want your text to display.
Enter a number from 1 to 100 to adjust the Text Opacity.
If you want the text to have a background, check off the Text Has Background box.
From here you can select a Background Color.
Enter a number from 1 to 100 to adjust the Background Opacity.
Adjust the Border Size of the background box.
Background Padding is the distance from the top of the box surrounding your text.
It is recommended that you leave this at 5 so that you can accommodate up to two lines of text if necessary.
If you would like to have a stamp on your video, check off the Has Stamp Text box.
On your production template, the Stamp will display in the top right corner.
From here you can select the Font Family, Size, and Style.
Select a color for your stamp.
To select the format of your stamp, click on the Stamp Format drop-down.
The stamp width and height dictates how stretched out the stamp will appear. You can leave these settings as is.
Stamp Anchor Top is the distance from the top of the frame from where you want your stamp to display.
Stamp Anchor Left is the distance from the left of the frame from where you want your stamp to display.
Enter a number from 1 to 100 to adjust the Stamp Opacity.
Click on the Place Stamp On drop-down to select where you want the stamp to display.
Your options include on the Poster Only, Video Only, or Poster & Video.
If you want the stamp to have a background, check off the Stamp Has Background box.
From here you can select a background color.
Enter a number from 1 to 100 to adjust the Background Opacity.
Adjust the border size of the box that will go around the stamp text.
Background Padding is the distance from the top of the box surrounding your text. It is recommended that you leave this at 4.
With the Poster image, you have two options.
You can upload a Default Poster image or check off the box that says Snap Default Poster From First Video Frame.
To add your own graphic, check off Has Default Poster box.
To add the image, click Browse to find it and then click Upload to add it.
When uploading an image, follow the dimensions mentioned to ensure the image fits the frame of your video.
Once you're done, click Save to preview it.
